In the 17th century haikus were created they are poems about the four seasons summer,autumn,winter and spring. Its origins originate from the edo period of Japan where the economy was thriving. People started doing haikus to put their emotions into words. They used hiragana and katakana to write the poem. The format for this is 5 syllables 7 syllables and 5 syllables.

This is a poem I made about autumn.

Haiku Autumn

Dancing leafs falling

pumpkins on  blazing fire flares

life dying still here
